Cannot write a VIN into the PCM after PCM replacement or reflash. Any idea if this utility will be added in a future update? Thank you. -

Its available there are 2 ways of doing this one its from the first screen you run into
the other way is by going to utility in ecm/pcm option it will be in utility or special
function -

I had a 2004 Camry 3.0L that I had just flashed, and could not find it in the Utility section of the PCM screen or anywhere else. Luckily flashing is all done through Toyota's Techstream software so I was able to write the VIN using the Techstream scan tool, but was surprised it's not in the DS708. -

well it used to be i no longer have the 708 but i remember doing a couple of of them a few month ago with no problem i can't remember the exact procedure how i did it but for sure i did it they may have messed something up with the latest update i don't know i have the techstream also i even remember comparing the tech stream with the maxisys and 708 and they where both right on the money but i could have missed something anyway send a complaint to support i will do the same after i check a few of them
